Race Course: Lakeshore Trail (asphalt surfaced trail.) Scenic, gently winding, out & back course; Will start and finish at DSVC parking lot; course runs along the Table Rock Lake shoreline.

We are having a multi-family yard sale to help raise funds for family’s who are having legal problem but can’t afford money to hire a lawyer. The event is at 1201 w Webster off n Kansas expwy. It is an all day event and donation are welcomed until May 12th.

American Heart Association to Host Springfield’s Start! Heart Walk to raise funds for Cardiovascular Disease. Three mile walk starts from Kickapoo High school and will feature over 1,000 people representing businesses and organizations throughout the region.

Participants of the 18th Annual Kitchen 5K Fun Run and One Mile Walk with Mom, on Saturday, May 9, 2009, will be taking steps to help the children at The Kitchen. Proceeds from the race will go directly to the Family Nurturing Center for childcare, after school and summer programs, and other daily needs. The Assemblies of God Theological Seminary Golf Tournament will take place on Thursday, April 30 with a 1 p.m. shotgun start at Rivercut Golf Course.  The price is $70 per golfer with special pricing for AGTS alumni and students. Hole sponsorships are also available. All proceeds go to student scholarships.
