[ May 9, 2009; 9:00 am; ] A one-day festival in downtown Bolivar, Mo., showcasing Polk County creativity through the visual and performing arts. The event features lots of games and activities for children, artwork on display, musical entertainment, food and other vendors. Admission is free. 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, May 9

ARTS COUNCIL’S KITE DESIGN CONTEST READY TO FLY!

[ January 22, 2009 7:00 am to March 5, 2009 12:00 pm. ] Springfield Regional Arts Council is now accepting entries for the 3rd Annual Kite Design Contest open for children in kindergarten through 5th grades.

Awards will be given in three grade categories:  kindergarten thru 1st grade, 2nd thru 3rd,  and 4th thru 5th grade. Each grade category will have four awards including Best of Show, Most Artistic, [...]
