Free Haitian Relief Benefit Concert

Join us at our Haitian Relief Benefit Concert this Saturday night from 6:00 – 9:00 PM at the Carl and Glessie Young Community Auditorium. Entry is free to all. The proceeds from the event benefit Convoy Of Hope (COH).

The entertainment will be provided by four local bands; Eden Bound, Pennyless, CrossBridge Worship Team, and Eddies Blues Train.

We will also have refreshments available in the cafeteria.

Before the 7.0 earthquake struck Haiti on January 12th Convoy Of Hope (COH) had been feeding 7,000 children a day in Haiti for the past three years. Since the earthquake COH has distributed 400,000 meals, installed 30 water purification points, and are daily feeding an additional 11,000 children. The needs in Haiti are great and ongoing. At the time of this posting, COH has 1,000,000 lbs. of food in their pipeline in route to Haiti. The needs in Haiti are great and will be ongoing. Tass was born in the Gaza Strip, in 1951. His parents immigrated to Saudi Arabia where he was raised a muslim. He came to the united stated  and became an american in 1979.

Through a supernatural encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ, Tass became a born again believer. Since then he has been taking the message to the Jews and muslims.

Women in Need of the Ozarks is proud to present the 5th annual WIN Cajun Cook-Off  Saturday, January 30th, four person teams will cook up their best dishes in three cooking categories, “The Bayou” featuring soups and gumbo…”The Levee” with rice & beans and jambalaya and “The Quarter” serving desserts like bananas foster!  There’ll be raffles, games and good food. Location will be in Discovery Center lobby located at 438 E St. Louis St. downtown Springfield, Missouri.
Discovery Center is cleaning house and is encouraging you to do the same.  Discovery Center will be taking donated items from your home, please no clothing, on Friday, January 22nd from 9-5pm in Discovery Center lobby and then will have a garage sale to the public on Saturday, January 23rd from 7am-3pm.
All proceeds from this event will go towards exhibit maintenance.

Redeemer Lutheran Church will begin an outreach ministry in downtown Springfield, Mo starting Thursday, March 4, 2010 at the Monarch Art Factory located at 600 W College st

This outreach ministry called the Gathering will be open to the public every Thursday night. Refreshments, live music featuring City of David and the opportunity to form lasting relationships with open, understanding volunteers.
