Homemade quilt raffle to raise money for missions
As a part of James River Assembly Student Ministries we were challenged to come up with unique ways to raise money for Speed The Light.
Speed The Light is the student-initiated, volunteer, charitable program that provides much-needed equipment to missionaries across the nation.
In response to this challenge I decided to use my artistic skills and create handmade quilts to raffle off only a couple weeks before Christmas.
The quilts are now finished and I am ready to start taking donations. For each dollar a person donates they will receive one ticket into the raffle drawing. To allow people to choose which quilt they would like to win I will be holding a separate drawing for each quilt.
The drawing will be held on December 9th, 2009.
Donations can be accepted in cash, check or paypal.
There are three quilts that will be raffled off. A baby girl quilt measuring 36 inches by 52 inches. A baby boy quilt measuring 36 inches by 46 inches. And a rag quilt measuring approximately 80 inches by 96 inches.
*YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE PRESENT TO WIN.*
Email me at allecait@hotmail.com if you would like more information regarding the quilts.
More specific information for each quilt can be found at www.allecait.com
If you have any friends or family that might be interested it would be greatly appreciated if you could help to spread the word.
